Guitar Herogamerate
Guitar Hero is the ultimate party video game series, where you and your friends/family can form a band and rock out to all your favorite classic rock songs. Guitar Hero uses custom guitar shaped controllers to simulate playing a guitar and in later versions, starting with World Tour, added a microphone and drum set, although a standard console controller can be used in early versions. Players score points by matching colored notes that scroll on the screen to the colored buttons on the controllers. Even though it was designed to be a party game with competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, there is also support for single player mode. Guitar Hero games are available on several platforms including Playstation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, Mac and Nintendo DS.
The popularity of Guitar Hero caused other music video game spin-offs to be created including Band Hero, which included more family friendly pop music and the DJ Hero series which simulated being a DJ using a turntable style controller. Guitar Hero was first published in 2005 by RedOctane and developed by Harmonix. As of 2011, Activision officially put any further development of the series on hiatus.

While Guitar Hero 3 was made for the PC, it's horrible. I have an AMD64 3200+, 1GB of RAM, and 256MB GeForce 6600 and it lagged badly. Turns out it lags on quad cores, just because it's a terrible port. Guitar Hero 5 was released at an odd point for the franchise and music rhythm games in general, and despite a solid enough setlist, it did not come without its own oddities. The inclusion of.
