The farm boasts with over 50 different species of trees as well as a host of birdlife including the Blue Crane.

Hertie, our youngest is also a very keen hunter who never misses a hunting expedition. He has been hunting since he was 7 years old. Hertie is also the youngest qualified auctioneer (he was still 12 years old when he did the course) in South Africa and won the Toyota Young Auctioneers competition in 2015 for the best auctioneer under 21 on the age of 13 and again in 2016.

Our eldest son Pieter and his wife and family live in Tzaneen. Cornica and her husband Anton farm near Mosselbay. An-Sune and her husband Cornelis also farm near Herbertsdale.
